A little bit about me

Hi, I'm Claire.

I'm the creator of SniffleMitts. Born in 2005 and raised in Ontario, Canada, I came up with the idea while studying and turned a school project into a real product.

How it all started

The idea began in Grade 11 during a marketing class. I created “TPG – The Perfect Glove,” a warm waterproof glove with a built-in nose-wiping patch, then presented the concept to my teacher and earned 100%.

Three years later, while studying Early Childhood Education, I brought the idea back. I spent long days emailing suppliers, refining samples, sourcing materials and working through delays and revisions.

Eventually, the first shipment arrived: 200 pairs of mittens and 1,500 interchangeable patterned strips. SniffleMitts was born.

How to wash your mittens

Remove the nose-wiping strip before washing.
Fasten the Velcro strip on the mitten.
Use a gentle/cold machine cycle.
A mesh laundry bag is recommended.
Air dry or tumble dry on low.

For November and December purchases, the return window is 60 days.

What ages are the mittens for?

They are available in Ages 5–7 and Ages 7–10. The mittens run large and can fit up to about age 10.

How many strips come with a pair?

Two pattern strips are included free with every mitten purchase.

Can I change the strip?

Yes. The strips are removable, so kids can switch patterns whenever they like.

Where does the strip attach?

It attaches to the Velcro patch along the right pointer finger.

Are the strips washable?

Yes. Remove the strip from the mitten before washing and wash it as needed.

How cold can the mittens handle?

They are designed for temperatures as low as -30°C.

Do you ship outside Canada?

No. SniffleMitts currently ships within Canada only.
