Born in 2005 and raised in Ontario, Canada, I’m the brains (and heart) behind this little invention. I designed SniffleMitts to solve an ongoing problem for children today—and it turned into something bigger than I could have imagined.

Mission
At Sniffle Mitts, our mission is to keep little (and big) hands warm, noses happy, and winter days worry-free. We’re here to solve the problem of cold, runny noses and irritated skin during Canada’s chilliest months with waterproof mittens that feature a soft, removable strip for quick, gentle wipes. By combining comfort, practicality, and playful designs, we help families enjoy the outdoors without the fuss of constant tissue searches or chapped skin.
How It All Started
The idea for Sniffle Mitts first sparked back in Grade 11 during a marketing class assignment to create a brand-new, problem-solving product. I dreamed up “TPG – The Perfect Glove” — a warm, waterproof glove with a built-in nose-wiping patch, inspired by the reality of a Canadian winter where noses drip all day outside. I made a poster, filmed a video, pitched it to my teacher, and proudly earned a perfect 100%. After that, the idea was tucked away and forgotten.
Three years later, while studying Early Childhood Education, I was chatting with a friend about starting our own business. Suddenly, the glove idea came rushing back- but this time, I knew I could make it real. I spent long days emailing suppliers, refining the design, and sourcing the perfect materials. Photo samples arrived, then proper samples — but they had flaws. Delays and revisions followed, but I kept going.
Finally, my first shipment arrived: 200 pairs of mittens and 1,500 interchangeable patterned strips. The mitts feature a Velcro strip along the right pointer finger where any of the 34 soft, waterproof strips can be attached, making it easy to wipe away runny noses without irritation. Sniffle Mitts was born — built on a mission to keep noses rash-free, hands warmer than ever, and winter adventures more comfortable for everyone.
